VAV Middle East returns to Al Wathba's camel circuits to cover the end of the season in Abu Dhabi. The racing season begins in November and closes officially at the end of March, which are the most appropriate months for camels to safely unleash their full potential. This sport is an essential tradition within the Arab culture and especially in UAE that, not only is responsible for promoting it in their country, but also has programs to support this sport-cultural activity in other countries of the region, even sponsoring Championships in Morocco. OB Van 11 is covering the camel racing finals since last March 19 with a display of the highest quality: 16 cameras including 5 wireless systems, 1 Hyperslowmotion camera, 1 SSLM, 1 crane, 6 box lenses, 1 cineflex system and 1 russian arm.
VAV Middle East remains protagonist covering international competitions from United Arab Emirates. On this occasion and from Emirates Palace marina facilities in Abu Dhabi, we have covered FINA (International Swimming Federation) marathon in open waters world cup. Emirati´s perfect winter temperatures have welcomed an intense day of water sport bringing together the best swimmers in the world. OB Van 15 was allocated for the production of the event with an extensive technical and human device. Among the specifications of a production with 8 cameras we can highlight the use of a 4 wireless cameras, 1 superslowmotion system and 2 box lenses.
The new OB Van 21 4K is already in the VAV installations to begin with the installation and start-up. The new OB Van 21 4K can work in several configurations according to the requirements of each event. The ergonomic design of the new OB Van 21 4K, will allow a capacity of up to 16 workstations. This week, VAV Middle East was responsible to cover the host signal for four games of the Arabian Gulf League. This time, we moved to the cities of Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Kalba to cover the matches of Emirates vs Dhafra, Kalba vs Al Wahda and Dibba vs Al Shabab. OB Van 11 and OB Van 15 were in charge of producing the signal, providing a display of 13 HD camera chains, including 5 box lenses, one Jimmy Jib, 1 orbiter and 2 mini-cameras.
OB Van 11 was commissioned last week to cover endurance races from Dubai. Endurance races are part of the extensive horse races modalities that take place throughout the country during the months of good weather. These endurance races are very demanding tests for the horses since they get to do several races every day of more than 30 kilometres. The races begin before dawn and the vision of horses in the desert as the sun risesgives a great beauty to this television coverage. The deployment consists of 15 HD cameras including a Hypermotion camera, 2 SSLM, 2 Wireless systems, 2 cineflex and a Russian arm.
Last week, OB Van15 covered the news happened in IDEX (International Defence Exhibition and Conference), one of the highest events of the year. IDEX is the only international defence exhibition and conference in the MENA region demonstrating the latest technology across land, sea and air sectors of defence. It is a unique platform to establish and strengthen relationships with government departments, businesses and armed forces throughout the region. VAV Middle East covered the news program and the press conferences for Abu Dhabi Media. The deployment of 10 HD cameras included 3 wireless.
We continue to penetrate the oldest emirate traditions with the coverage of a special program for the Falcon Championships in Fazza, Dubai. Falcons, essential animal in the local culture, have always been part of the emiratí life. Before the arrival of the skyscrapers, falcons were used for hunting. OB Van 11's deployment for this special show was 7 camera chains, including a Jimmy jib of 7 meters and 1 wireless camera.
Last week, OB Van 15 moved to Al Ain to cover the equestrian event Emirates Longines Show Jumping League. This competition is held throughout the year nationwide and consist of 31 events. Horse riding is a sport with a strong roots in Arab culture and there are many competitions during the autumn and winter months. Jumping shows, races at the Meydan (one of the most important international locations) and Ganthoot Circuits, beauty shows ... the disciplines are multiple. To cover this production, OB Van 15 prepared a display of 8 HD camera chains, including 5 box lenses, 1 superslow motion and 1 Jimmy Jib.
Last weekend, OB Van 15 moved to the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, in the north of the country to cover the RAK International Pro Jiu-Jitsu Championship. This emirate is one of the favourite destinations for national tourism as it has spectacular beach resorts and mountains where you can do outdoor sports during the winter months. Jiu Jitsu, both female and male, is one of the most popular sports in the United Arab Emirates and features numerous international events throughout the season. To cover this production, OB Van 15 prepared a deployment of 12 HD camera chains, including 2 wireless cameras in steadycam, a Jimmy Jib of 9 meters, 5 box lenses and 2 orbiters.
