VAV ME: Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week / UAE

VAV Middle East is present one more year in the Abu Dhabi Sustainability week that is being held this week in ADNEC (Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center). The event is a great milestone in the emirate agenda with the presence of international authorities on sustainable and renewable energy. More than 34,000 participants from 170 countries participate in this event reflecting the growing attention that United Arab Emirates has on new forms of energyOne of the flagship projects of this philosophy is the development of Masdar City, a project of a city fuelled exclusively by renewable energy and with the latest advances in sustainability. Abu Dhabi Media held a special daily program at the event to report from the same fair. OB Van 15 is in charge of producing the studio of 6 HD camera chains, including 1 jimmy jib and 2 wireless cameras.

We started the year with a great activity in the United Arab Emirates. Our 2 OB Vans and our creative team have worked tirelessly to cover the many needs of our client LIVE. OB Van 11 continues to cover daily the news of Sheikh Zayed Festival. From the fair grounds of Al Wathba, the festival celebrates the figure of the founder of the country and the heritage culture of the region. On a daily basis, OB Van 11 is responsible for producing two evening programs for the Emirate Channel of Abu Dhabi Media and for Yas Channel, a traditional sports one. The deployment is 15 camera chains, including 2 Jimmy jibs, 2 box lenses and 1 wireless system.OB Van 15 has also maintained great activity. Not only we said goodbye to the year covering camel races from the Al Wathba circuit, but we have made special coverage of the HH SH MOHAMMED BIN RASHID AL MAKTOUM endurance races, held during the first week of the year in Dubai. For this event we have made programs from different locations in the Emirate of Dubai with a display of 6 camera chains including a Jimmy jib.

Last week, VAV Middle East has been assigned for the production of the camel racing championship in honor of Sheikh Zayed, founder of UAE. This event, one of the most important of the season, is part of the celebrations that take place during the month of December throughout the country to celebrate the National Day. With a 5 camera chains, including a superslow and 2 wireless cameras in separate jeeps following the race, OB Van 15 has been covering for 9 days the morning races - starting at 6:30 am - and the afternoon races - from 2:00 PM - from Al Wathba Race tracks,  in the surroundings of Abu Dhabi and home to the National Camel Racing Federation.

VAV ME: Sheikh Zayed Festival / UAE

One more year, VAV Middle East is in charge of covering the most important and longest festival in Abu Dhabi. From the fairgrounds of Al Wathba, and framed in the celebrations of Emirati National Day, the festival of Sheikh Zayed celebrates the figure of the founder of the country and the emirati heritage and culture. More than 30 days of festival in which you can visit a lot of spaces and traditional shops, not only of UAE, but more countries (Oman, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Morocco, Belarus, Bosnia...). On a daily basis, OB Van 11 is responsible for the production of two evening programs for the Emirate Channel of Abu Dhabi Media and for Yas Channel, a traditional sports channel. The deployment is 15 cameras, including 2 jimmy jibs, 2 box lenses and 1 wireless system.

 

 

 

 

Last Friday, November 2, we moved our OB Van 1 SSLM HD to Palau Blaugrana (Barcelona), to provide coverage of SSLM cameras, under the tender contract with TV3 for this season.
 
On this occasion the F.C. Barcelona Lassa faced Panathinaikos Greek, in the match (Round 10) of the regular phase of the Euroleague.
 
The OB Van 1 SSLM was equipped with 2 camera chains (Sony HDC 3300R in 3 phases), 1 EVS XT3 HD, 2 lenses 40X HD and operating and assembly crew. Our OB Van provided the UM Host Broadcaster with the most interesting slow-moving images of the match.

Last week, VAV Middle East was responsible to cover the host signal for four games of the Arabian Gulf League. This time, we moved to the cities of Fujairah, Hatta, Sharjah and Kalba to cover the matches of Dibba vs. Hatta, Sharjah vs. Baniyas, Hatta vs. Al Shabab and Kalba vs. Al NasrOB Van 11 and OB Van 15 were responsible to produce the signal, providing a display of 13 HD camera chains, including 5 box lenses, 1 Jimmy Jib, 1 orbiter and 2 mini-cameras.

VAV ME: Camel Racing / GCC Cup / UAE

OB Van 15 continues having a big role in the camel season and has been in charge of the production of one of the events of the year in the modality: the GCC Cup. On November 23and 24, VAV has produced the international signal of the championship that brings together the best camels in the region. There have been participants from Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait,Bahrain and, of course, the best camels in the United Arab EmiratesThe production has been at the level of the event and we have prepared a deployment of 20 HD cameras including 2 cineflex cameras, 1 Russian arm and 1 drone following the evolution of the race; 5 wireless systems, 3 mini cameras, a Hyper motion camera, 1 superslow camera and 1 crane (9 meters) as highlights.

VAV ME: Football in UAE

The King of Sports has taken center stage this week on the agenda of VAV Middle East and we have covered 2 matches of the AGL League and one studio coverageIn this round of the AGL league, VAV ME has taken care of the production of the matches of Al Shabab and Al Dhafrah; also a studio coverage for Al Jazira match, one of the best team from Abu Dhabi. The deployment was the usual for this type of games with a total of 13 HD camera chains, including 2 SSM camera, 3 EVS, 5 box lenses, 1 Jimmy Jib, 1 crane and 2 mini cameras.  For the studio we used a deployment of 8 camera chains.

 

This week, VAV Middle East was responsible to cover the host signal for two games of the Arabian Gulf Cup. This time, we moved to the cities of Madinat Zayed and Al Ain to cover the matches of Al Dhafra Emirates and Al Ain Baniyas. Al Ain is one of the favourites to win the tournament OB Van 11 produced the signal, providing a display of 13 HD camera chains, including 5 box lenses, 1 Jimmy jib, 1 orbiter and 2 mini-cameras.
